Digital Waste Vouchers & Redemption Solution

Impact Apps has designed a digital voucher creation, redemption and reporting solution for Councils. 

Challenge

Bega Valley Council instigated this project requesting that we find a way to enable residents, already signed up for E-Rates, to access and redeem their digital waste vouchers through the waste app. At that time Council’s existing weighbridge software did not offer a voucher redemption solution or integration with a third-party software so we developed a “Voucher Scanner App” which could be used on Council staff phones/tablets for easy voucher scanning and redemption. 

Value

The waste app CMS was extended to add a digital voucher chapter. This enabled Council to generate vouchers for residents (all residents or individual residents), monitor and report on voucher usage.
Since Bathurst Council we have helped several councils to transition to digital waste vouchers. Each Council has had a slightly different set of needs and the solution has been altered to suit each time. Additional features, such as the ability for Council to generate vouchers for grant recipients (e.g. Clean Up Australia Day participants), have been added.
